Tatsuru Arai is an artist who integrates classical and contemporary music traditions with AI and computer technology, pioneering concepts like "Trans-Ages Music" and "Hyper-Serial Music." His work expresses cosmic and natural phenomena through sound and visuals, transcending human emotions and cultural boundaries to explore a new universal beauty.
Face of Universe explores the deep connection between Earth's ecosystem and the nuclear fusion energy of the sun. From the formation of Earth's atmosphere to the emergence of life and human civilization, the project highlights the coexistence of urban landscapes and natural ecosystems. The wildflowers thriving in cities symbolize this harmony and serve as a metaphorical "face of the universe."

Technological advancements, especially in AI and computers, have opened new frontiers for artistic expression beyond human limitations. The fusion of classical music, contemporary music, and cutting-edge technology can create an art form that embodies both universal beauty and scientific progress. Tatsuru Arai proposes three key directions for this transformation: Hyper Serial music/Trans-Ages Music – A new genre that integrates classical and contemporary musical traditions with modern technology to resonate with digital-native audiences. Art Expressing the Universe and Nature – Moving beyond human emotion to depict natural and cosmic phenomena through AI and computational techniques. Coexistence of Humans and Nature – Merging classical expressions of human emotions with technology-driven representations of the universe to promote harmony between humanity and nature. The human perception of sound, a physical phenomenon, influences human beings and the“geometric structure” is a fundamental pillar that allows us to understand the true nature of the universe. Creating a way to experience even a part of the nature of the universe through sound.
